Technically not today, but today is the first day I have looked at them.
Whilst on holiday I noticed that the excellent
Sigma Sports had some rather high end Lake shoes on offer for basically 66% off, as there was a 10% off code I could use as well. This made them not the RRP of £325, but iirc, something like £109 per pair.
It's the CX 302 in narrow fit.
Luckily I found a youtube review where one person commented saying that these shoes weirdly size up about an entire EU size smaller than your average Lake shoe.
I bought some cheapie Lakes ages ago in a 44, but ended up giving them to my bro who said they are great all be it a tiny bit big for him - they fitted me fine.
Based on this I ordered myself a yellow (surprise) pair in 45, and as a future present for my bro, a black pair in 44, and today I opened the box.
Good news is that the 45 looks spot on for me, which I think will mean the 44s (in black) for my bro should also be spot on.
Quality and boa dials to my eye looks excellent, or certainly worth £109 at any rate.
Having just checked, the yellow ones are now a crazy £94!
Just been onto their live chat, and asked if they could refund me the difference, or whether I would need to send the yellow ones back and re-order.
Oddly they needed a picture of them to prove they were unused, and are now partially refunding me the £15 I guess it will be.
