What have you bought for the bike today ?

Just ordered a cheap Bucklos air fork for the Carrera, a shock pump and a pair of bike leggings to wear under my shorts.

While getting stuff ready for a fork swap when the new ones arrive tomorrow, it suddenly occurred to me that my current 160mm rotor will be too small for the new fork, so just ordered a 180mm rotor.
Also bought a roll of black insulating tape to cover the fork stickers until the returns date passes and I'll just remove them completely.

I just took delivery of this Concept 2 rowing machine to help me on my long bike rides.

The thing is, it is very big and heavy, so I am not sure how I will carry it on the bike!

Actually... My legs are pretty good from riding my bikes. Using the rower will help improve leg fitness further (since about 70% of rowing power is through the legs) and obviously I will get a good cardio workout every session, but my main interest is to improve my upper body condition. My back, arms, and shoulders suffer more on long rides than my legs do. Rowing should help alleviate those problems. (I will try to motivate myself to do some strength training as well.)

I will mix and match my indoor fitness sessions this coming winter. Instead of forcing myself to do, say, 1.5 hrs on the turbo trainer, I might do my warmup on one and the main workout on the other.

A set of XT brakes and calipers for the new MTB which came with MT200 and the cheapest rotors, not to mention the heaviest wired tubeless tyres that weighed over 900g each plus tubes.

A few more tweaks and I’ll have it under 10kg

2 pairs of new bib shorts, as I managed to rip one of my 2 good pairs. Castelli as they seem to fit me, 2 different shorts, both £70 in the sale, both fit, so might keep both.

I am hoping to do a 115+ km ride round/over Dartmoor next week and two 600 mL bottles will not be enough for the ride. Maybe I could find somewhere en route to buy refills, but I would rather play safe and carry what I need. So...

... I had a look on eBay at various hydration bladder options. I have owned Camelbak backpacks in the past, and they do the job, but I find that they make my back too sweaty. Then I saw a bumbag variation which I liked the look of, and will eliminate that issue.

I sniped the auction with 10 seconds to go and secured my prize for £21.56 incl. postage and buyer protection. A very good deal!

Have you looked at 1l bottles? I got a couple of SIS ones and they fit in my road bike frame.
