Recabled inner and outer brake on the commuter bike and tried to true the wheels but it is that windy that the bike was wobbling about so i gave up on that .
It is more comfort vs snakebite risk for me!I’ve found there’s quite a wide range of pressures I can run without impacting handling or average speed
I think after a few miles that rack will move. It’ll pivot on the bolts.
Overhauled a 43 years-old Suntour ARX GT (underrated!) & while waiting for the parts to dry in the sun, redid the bearings on a Shimano Dynamo hub - it is possible re drive side too, after careful dismantling of the connector system.
Afterwards, checked for bearing adjustment & that it is still powering lights ok.
Meanwhile, maybe the ARX is ready for another 43 years - the demise of Maeda remains a painful story.
Today I finally got around to changing the chain rings on my old Galaxy.
I need lower gearing these days. So I've gone from an ancient 54/42, to a more manageable 48/38.

How i toured on that gearing years ago gives me a headache thinking about it.🤔
