Took a minute, wiped down my chain on my commuter with baby wipe, and a soft cloth after. Before dripping a drop of drip wax on each roller. I think I marginally wipe and relube than I did with lube but that's outweighed by components lasting longer, clean hands and no chain tattoo etc. The frame needs a proper clean but that'll wait until the weekend.
Yet another clean of the chain and running gear. The chain always takes on a different colour at this time of year. Does anyone else find that ? Around here, being a heavy clay soil, the run off gives the chain the same colour.
New rear tyre on my bike. Was hoping at least another week or two out of tyre but it signalled it is time to retire it. Audax tomorrow and don't want to be messing around in the forecast rain.
Switched the wheel sets including the change of cassettes and tyres: the Van Rysel NCR AF got the new built wheel set, the Ridley X-Ride with disc brakes got the wheel set from the NCR AF and the construction site Ridley Kanzo A got the wheel set from the Ridley X-Ride.
One bike deep cleaned and chain cleaned/lubed after Wednesday's ride on mucky roads, three bikes given a basic clean and chain clean/lube after rides on less mucky roads over the past fortnight.
