Test fit of the new pannier rack and panniers to the CX bike. Have used 'P' clip mounted rack previously but the rack swayed to much. The bike has no braise ons. So got an M-Part QR skewer mounted rack. Now its been set up, should only take a few minutes to fit.

Topped up the sealant in my good bike incase I get the chance to use it tomorrow. Its saddle nose was about 2 or 3deg down so I put it more level too.

New Alpine forks arrived for one of my Volare bikes, ony took about 10 minutes to change, the Sabath September frame i bought from Ebay waiting for outter cables, Always thought Sabath cheap bikes but really impressed by this frame and will delight in finding out if it rides as good as it looks?

I’m rebuilding an old timetrial bike into something useable ( and saleable ) for the local community bike shop. The bar end shifters were both badly seized into the bars from years of being sweated on as the bike was on an indoor trainer, I had to cut the bars up to get them out. Took a while to clean them and recut the internal threads so they could be salvaged.

When business picks up in the spring I don’t know if I want to go back to working for Trek, this fixing up old stuff is a lot more fun.

Not today, in fact two weeks ago now. I repaired our tumble dryer which had developed a terrible grating noise. In the end I replaced the main drum bearing and support wheels at a cost of about £60 in parts. Much cheaper than a call out plus parts, and better than buying a new one.
