Fixed tubeless puncture. Added more sealant
Wasted an hour idly rooting through the various boxes in the Crypt of Crap to see if I could find enough spare parts to make an entire Sturmey-Archer AW. Defeated only by the lack of a HSA123 driver. Pah.
After the Dunwich Dynamo I mustered the enthusiasm to clean the bike yesterday and relubed it with drip wax today.
More dismantling of the 1948 Claud Butler. Everything is off / out apart from the right-hand crank arm, which has a recalcitrant cotter pin, and the stuck quill stem that's seized to the forks. That's soaking to hopefully free it up a bit.
I want everything off the frame before it's properly cleaned. The plan is to then lacquer it as is with matt lacquer as the current paint and decals/lining is very flaky. That way I can maintain the patina rather than attempt a re-paint.
