4th Jan 2013. Deadline day for my essays and assignments for my uni course. Also going to be a good day once it's passed and I've managed to submit all my work on time!

Good luck with that, I finished (and passed - yeah I know!!!) a post-grad course last January, thinking about meeting the deadline now is bringing back memories of blind panic!

*shudder*

any day i don't ride my bike. there have been some godawful *hitty days in my life but i like to think that the really good ones more than make up for them , and this is from the eternal pessimist

12 Feb 2012.... dog incident day that ended our world tour. Not looking forward to 12 Feb 2013 either - my mother's 3rd husband (2nd step-father) just so happens to be going into hospital that day for a hip replacement and i know exactly how much hard work my mother is going to be (as a batty old ex-nurse who will be checking the beds to see if they are clean enough - embarrassing or what...)

It'll be New Years Eve for me this year. I'm working nights, and it'll be the busiest night shift of the year by a mile, yet new years eve doesn't count as a bank holiday so no overtime rate. All the officers on New Years Day earlies however will get paid double time for what is normally one of the quietest shifts ever!

I was due to be on duty tonight from 6pm until 9am. Would have got 9 hours at double bubble! But due to my current incapacity in on the sick. So not only do I lose 9 hours OT but I will owe them a days leave as I'm on the sick on a bank holiday! Still it could be worse.

Don't really have a particular day that I dread year on year. But I will certainly remember the 7th December 2012. On the negative side it was the day I suffered my Brain Haemorrhage, never been ill before but I certainly was that day. But thankfully for me there's a positive side, I survived and am making very good progress.

2nd January. Just had a nice week off work and not looking forward to the long slog to Easter.

I have to agree with Pennine-Paul. I always hated NY's Eve/Day when I was in my 20s. My mum used to make a big thing of it because she was Scottish, which was fine, but having drunken English women (complete strangers) trying to play tonsil tennis with me in the pub at 23:59 on Dec. 31st was always a pain. I used to push them away and tell them to come back on January 2nd if they were still interested. They never were ...

PS TMN - I hope things improve soon!
Tonsil Tennis sounds great to me, I've clearly missed out!
