The old milometer but web enabled either via Bluetooth and phone or some other method. So you can keep online records of you daily mileage without knobends focussing on your average speed, power or any other metric.
Garmin Speed Sensor 2 does that - fit and forget on your commuter and no need to use a head unit as it syncs periodically with your phone.

1 watt of 555 nm light (laser beam green) gives you 683 lumens. So a 6V/3W hub is going to maximally give you a smidge over 2000 lumens at 100% efficiency. Hardly death ray territory!

That’s way above car main beam output, so I’d call it near enough death rays.

Well... My Blue Hallett is old-school fillet-brazed steel (latest, lightest Columbus/KVA stainless); square-taper bottom-bracket (11-speed Campag Ergo); shallow alloy rims (tubeless); and a traditional slung-leather saddle (Ti rails).
