@Fab Foodie did a fabulous one pot meal last year as we didn't want anything traditional and wanted to be able to relax and enjoy the day. It got put on in the morning and then slow cooked until we were ready late afternoon.

Other than that I would go for Goose or Duck

Goose. I think I've only eaten it once, but it was rather good. Turkey is blooming tedious. It doesn't actually taste of anything interesting. It's all texture.
