Sean Bean is very unconvincing as a hard man.
Anyone else think ‘Michael’ is a ringer for Cav?
Yep, I remarked on this to my wife. He's got the same mannerisms as well.

A month into Apple TV and just finished Slow Horses (brill) and now started Severance which is looking very good after 2 episodes.
What else would you guys recommend from Apple TV?
Andor Series 2 - Episodes 7,8+9
This series is absolutely knocking it out the park, it really reminds you how good the original story (Empire vs Rebels) of Star Wars was without ever drifting into rubbish nostalgia baiting like so many of the recent SW offerings. I had a feeling that this week some pretty important events that we've seen in Star Wars Rebels (an animated series from 2014) should be covered and I was right, no spoilers but the writers of Andor very very cleverly weave their story and events into whats already established.
On the one hand I'm sad there are only 3 episodes left, but on the other given how good the first 9 have been I've got absolute confidence they'll be absolute gold with no filler or time wasting at all.

Not seen any of it yet but glad to hear it's living up to the first series.
In other news, I'm four episodes into series 6 of Cobra Kai and... it's lost its sense of humour. What started out as a wonderful send up of one of the worst movie franchises of all time, miraculously justifying the existence of all those unnecessary sequels now feels like an unnecessary sequel in itself. So far this is garbage but i will watch all fifteen episodes and hope they don't do a seventh series.
How I wish I was you....make the most of season 1 ! Season two is good but season one is class 😁and now started Severance which is looking very good after 2 episodes.

We Own This City
Finished this and it's an enjoyable enough crime romp, as a power struggle in a seemingly otherwise stable crime gang threatens lives and livelihoods.
Trouble is I'm watching Mobland at the same time (not finished yet) and without comparing budgets or casts directly the story in Mobland is imminently more interesting.
WOTC almost forgets it's about coke dealing and gangs at times, it's not a bad show but I feel the crime angle could almost have been any other business that is being fought over whereas Mobland crime is at the front and centre all the time.
6/10
1 epsiode left, and we're absolutely lovin' it! I really like the focus on the families, the wheelin anna dealin, the double-crossing, the (relative) lack of fights/shootouts. It's clearly what the producers were aiming for. This may be the first drug drama I've watched where NOONE is shown actually consuming the stuff!
The writing is amazing - the tension is palpable; at this point every possible outcome is still in play. The three main protagonists all have a serious secret they are keeping from key people. Everyone needs someone else to do something, and has some sort of hold on someone else. Without it all seeming terribly contrived!
