A month into Apple TV and just finished Slow Horses (brill) and now started Severance which is looking very good after 2 episodes.
What else would you guys recommend from Apple TV?
Andor Series 2 - Episodes 7,8+9
This series is absolutely knocking it out the park, it really reminds you how good the original story (Empire vs Rebels) of Star Wars was without ever drifting into rubbish nostalgia baiting like so many of the recent SW offerings. I had a feeling that this week some pretty important events that we've seen in Star Wars Rebels (an animated series from 2014) should be covered and I was right, no spoilers but the writers of Andor very very cleverly weave their story and events into whats already established.
On the one hand I'm sad there are only 3 episodes left, but on the other given how good the first 9 have been I've got absolute confidence they'll be absolute gold with no filler or time wasting at all.

Not seen any of it yet but glad to hear it's living up to the first series.
In other news, I'm four episodes into series 6 of Cobra Kai and... it's lost its sense of humour. What started out as a wonderful send up of one of the worst movie franchises of all time, miraculously justifying the existence of all those unnecessary sequels now feels like an unnecessary sequel in itself. So far this is garbage but i will watch all fifteen episodes and hope they don't do a seventh series.
How I wish I was you....make the most of season 1 ! Season two is good but season one is class 😁and now started Severance which is looking very good after 2 episodes.

We Own This City
Finished this and it's an enjoyable enough crime romp, as a power struggle in a seemingly otherwise stable crime gang threatens lives and livelihoods.
Trouble is I'm watching Mobland at the same time (not finished yet) and without comparing budgets or casts directly the story in Mobland is imminently more interesting.
WOTC almost forgets it's about coke dealing and gangs at times, it's not a bad show but I feel the crime angle could almost have been any other business that is being fought over whereas Mobland crime is at the front and centre all the time.
6/10
Agreed about L'estate fredda. Having holidayed in Puglia, including Bari, last year it was nice to see familiar locations.All4 App / Walter Presents - Cold Summer - set in the early 90s, and in a beautiful location.
It's not a fast moving action packed program, but it's beautifully shot, written and acted, 9/10 from me.
It was filmed in 2023, and is from book 1 of a 3 part trilogy, so dearly hoping for 2 more.........

Good question! I gave up too.Has anyone watched For all mankind season 3? After the season 2 finale I had too many concerns about where it was headed (into soapland, I feared).
I believe another fantastic series, Lolita Lobosco, is filmed down there as well - it does look absolutely stunning. I know Italy reasonably well, as my brother lives in Champoluc, very northern Italy in the alps, and we are fortunate to be able to house sit near Lucca - yet to venture much further south, but it's on the list, but need to wait til we can go out of school holidays really.Agreed about L'estate fredda. I keep an eye on RAIplay.it for upcoming series that Walter might show, but sadly there's no sign of any sequel (yet). I'm told by my Italian teacher that the novels are also a great read, with several (including The Cold Summer) available in English translation.
As it happens, I watched another Italian film also starring Alessio Boni at the weekend, this time playing Enrico Piaggio, the industrialist responsible for the original Vespa.
