Maybe it doesn't matter what order you watch Andor or Rogue One. But after watching Rogue One first, whilst watching Andor, I couldn't help thinking that I know that the main character is going to die after this, after helping to up-loading the plans of the death star (in Rogue One) that are used in Star Wars A New Hope. Still it didn't really matter as there's so much more to Andor. I'll try and get hold of the older Clone Wars that you mention thanks.

This is the one I mean: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_Clone_Wars

HBO American drama series...seven episodes and three in for me so far.Enjoying it

I watched the first episode last night. It was in no hurry, which I normally like but must admit to finding it a little frustrating. Almost like a one-episode prequel. That said, it showed promise and now we're actually on the starting line, it may go somewhere.

I watched Frauds last night with Suranne Jones and Jodie Whittaker. OK so far and a bit of a different type of character for Suranne Jones.

It's got that worrying air of 'the actors looked like they were having fun making it' when, actually, I want to look like I'm having fun watching it.

Report back if it elevates itself above ok.... please.

I'm rewatching Tales from The Loop. It's the vibe that I like, and a 'vastness'. It's got a wonderful Philip Glass soundtrack, and is tinged with melancholy. Not dripping sadness, just an awareness that whilst life can be wonderful, there are also things that we have to get through - that shape us and make us who we are.

Station Eleven has a similar vibe. And is another fave of mine, Night Sky too. Indeed those 3 are praps my fave TV of recent years - purely for the vibe.

10 episodes of Classified on All4 (Walter Presents) is superb, mostly subtitled, with a smattering of English, almost randomly.

Canadian espionage thriller.

It's a slow burner, until about episode 5, and then it's full on. I personally thought good actors in the main, excellent script, and twist after twist after twist. I like to think of myself as seeing these things coming a long way off, but in this, that was not the case at all, which definitely added to the enjoyment.

Started Game of Thrones - mid way through Season 2. It has a slow start up, that I suppose lets you work out who is who, before they all start having sex or chopping each other up !

24 hours in Police Custody.
Pt1 last night, concludes tonight.
Bedfordshire, 3 shot to death, shocking in itself, then you (they, the Police) start putting the story together...shocking case of mental health (i think at this stage) gone away.

One to watch avidly but at the same time...ughhh, terrible.

I watched the last episode of Dying For Sex last night. I've enjoyed the series greatly. It's superbly balanced; the pure comedy moments taking the edge of an otherwise bleak subject (terminal cancer). I wasn't sure whether I was going to watch it, purely from the show's description, but was swayed by the fact the Michelle Williams was in the lead role. She's an actor I rate highly and the fact she's selective in her work usually is enough of indicator for me. It's based on a true story (and podcast) and is a recommended watch.

I posted about this myself a little while ago, but the post has disapeared.
Oops I put it in the commuting thread by mistake!

24hrs in Police Custody

Murder is no a game - Prosper Family Murders

I'm surprised I didn't remember this case, though at the time it was only a couple months after the Southport Attacks and the news was still mostly concentrating on those and the resulting disturbance.

Anyway 24hrs, excellent as ever and its utterly terrifying to see these officers have to attend a scene of a triple murder of what appears to be a mother and 2 children, and then after they have captured the suspect the investigation unveiling just how depraved he is and how close he was to commiting the biggest school schooting event in the UK since Dunblane.

They don't make too big an issue of the horrible games he was able to access, and certainly make no assertion he was into the games first and they gave him the idea. But AI and other tools are becomming more widespread to make the sort of content accessible no moral manufacturer would produce.

I vaguely remember this first time it was on, at least I remember the gas filled johnnies floating around, to be fair I was eighteen years old.

Excellent casting all round, especially Charles Gray as the eccentric former student.

Well worth another watch but I'm still not sure if Skullion is supposed to be a good guy or bad guy, and I'd forgotten all about the rather uncomfortable ending.

8/10.
