LOL. One of my friends was telling me about that show... I just thought, Why?

Haha yeah I honestly don't watch it to perv on I just love the survivalist aspect of the show and the drama when
things are going badly when they're sometimes literally starving to death almost or take ill and have to tap out

Yes, pretty excited to watch S2 of Patience!

I still think the original french version was a bit better - partly because the central performance was soooooooooo good - but it's early days, and I do confess that subtitles add a little more effort to my sofa experience

The problem is if you watched the English version first then watch the French one, you are watching the same episode but with more difficulty.

Currently watching new series of Junior bake off. Mrs W is a big fan which is surprising as she used hate Harry Hill with a vengeance now she’s a fan.
Great source of really bad dad jokes.

I am aware of Patience but have not tried to watch it - enormous fan of all foreign drama, and most definitely Astrid.
I think it has real style and the characters have a real connection, and I think I'd struggle with the uk version for a number of reasons.

Recently started the latest series of Shetland, and really enoying it - as always, feels quite appropriate/traditional for this time of year.

I am confused after tonight's episode of Night Manager 🤔
I think that's how you're meant to feel.

Despite the hateful typographical treatment for the title, I'm actually enjoying this. Doesn't do much to make me think anything more of Gervais, and I suppose it helps that his character is a smug, arrogant bellend (which is pretty much standard for him), but it's cleverly written and one of the most accurate mainstream depictions of depression I've seen. The blacker than Hades comedy works for me too.

Loved Shetland, Finished up Blue Lights over the weekend. Very well done and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Found Obituary on Netflix, a quirky kind of Irish dark comedy about a young obituary writer in a local rag. Not laugh out loud, but quite liking it so far.

Finished Down Cemetery Road last night. So well crafted, well cast, well written (by Mummy Pig, as it happens) that I can forgive them using Cornwall as a substitute for the Hebrides.

Thankfully series 2 is in the making.

Stranger Things S5 - left it until the finale aired, so we watched it over three days. Good start, but then dragged and last two were slow. final episode is 2 hours and without spoiling it it is a good hour too long at the end.

Really not so sure what all the fuss is about about Millie Bobby Brown, as her role/acting is quite minor in the later series, and the other co-stars need more publicity.

Enjoyable overall !
