I have an increasingly sore right shoulder too which really hurts when I reach behind to do up my bra and is extremely grindy when I do the 'windmill' exercise
Sounds like frozen shoulder to me. My missus had it. Really nasty. Very painful, debilitating, and there's pretty much nothing you can do about it other than gobble painkillers and wait till it goes away. Which it does...eventually. 'Er indores can actually raise her hand above head height now. It's only taken 6 months...

Good luck.

That's what I thought, but I can lift my arm up ok although it grinds as I do so. Hand out in front is better than hand out to the side. Get a pain in my bicep...and I've not been lifting weights or anything silly!

I was taking naproxen for about 3 months before the knee surgery, hasn't made a lot of different to anything (nor did ibuprofen beforehand). Rubbish

It was the grinding reference that made me think of it. The bicep thing is different...hers was entirely a joint thing, no muscle. But it still sounds frozen shouldery to me.

I might as well get the new physio to look at it when she does her full assessment on Wednesday (along with the knees, leg, wrist, elbow, neck, back, SIJ...)

I have had subacromial impingement in the past apparently...is that the same thing?

Did I mention that my right earlobe seems to be ok...for now

Was told last week I had a Bennett injury and it can only get worse. Must keep exercising it no matter how painful it gets according to doctor. An ex-mate is called Bennett must have been his fault.

Indeed ... I got to 56 and thought the same thing. 2 months later, I was suddenly NOT so lucky!
And the same here.
Up to 54, fit, active, only ever been in hospital for surgery after an accident at 20 which has left lifelong but very low level problems...otherwise fit a a butchers dog.
Then winter 2012 I got hit like a train. Spent 2 years coming through that...but rebuilding fitness now although its harder and TBF, not suffering much else as a result of 2012.
Long term damage is there but its not really holding me back.

I suffer a recurring muscle destroying ailment known as rhabdomyolysis. A variety like hens teeth and rocking horse shite which despite occurring 5 times still has no identified cause. I'm just getting off the drugs from the latest episode so paranoia, anxiety, depression, mood swings are my days at the moment. Can't be bothered to do anything, but need to occupy the mind or I get wrapped up in problems and make issues where there are none. Physically knackered but have yet to have a full nights sleep in over a week, and spend most nights on the sofa with a dog or 2 at stupid oclock in the morning.

I'll add Osgood-Schlatters Disease & Bursitis on the right knee. Snapped my left ankle. Many years ago, got fitted for some cheap ski's(only the one tied though).
No painkillers allowed, unless I'm admitted to hospital first, so they can keep an eye on me.
