Im looking at getting the full lycra treatment this weekend, and my wife isnt keen on me doing it.
She keeps saying ill look stupid because of my build, im 5'10 and 35/36" waist 44" chest and i weigh in at 15st, to me thats ok but now the cow is giving me second thoughts, and she keeps saying that people will laugh because im 40 and in lycra and having a moment.
Apart from the comments she s a great wife lol.
Any guys out there that wear it at my size. ?

Andy - in all seriousness you do have a problem. Modern cycling gear is cut tight on the shoulders and short. Not only does that make you look tubbier than you are, your lower back gets cold. Try Gore stuff.

And.......don't post your photographs taken on a cold day. it's rude to point.

Yebbut it gives him something to hang his helmet and jacket on.

I was very self conscious when I first started wearing Lycra, ( I felt the same when I started wearing a cycle helmet too) but I've got used to it now, I've got several brands but I particullay like the Shutt Velo Rapide brand, it feels great and looks smart, though it very expensive, it feels like quality stuff. My wife bought me this last week http://www.shuttvr.com/shop/productdetail/SS-Sportive-Jersey-Red/, apparently I'm the first person in the UK to own this particular shirt.
