I was going to post in this thread yesterday that, in spite of the rain, I have actually stayed dry on the commutes.
Today I got the soaking of my life!

Scotland had drier than average March, particularly in North and West.

Just sayin ...
Maybe, but then it never stopped raining all of April, we had 10 dry days in May, that was it so far.
Rain is just the predecessor to a well growing garden
My garden is drowning, the slugs are living their best life

I'm convinced that some friends in the South think we are lying when we tell them it has rained almost all the time since mid-Sept.

We've had plenty of rain down here over the last six months.

Ahhh, but.... a southerner's idea of "plenty of rain" and that of us from the north west might differ somewhat. :okay:

North West? I hope you mean north west of England. It's what bbc weather forecasters think of when they say north west. Even that's a brief interlude from telling us all It's going to be sunny and 25C because that's what London will be.

Sorry, it's an old rant of mine that bbc weather focuses on the south of England, for example the summary at the end. Mind you the did introduce the 5 day summary for the nation capitals. England will have London weather, Scotland Edinburgh weather, etc. How true is that going to do you reckon?

No, I mean north west of mainland Britain. Being Scottish I am well aware of the BBC England bias, and SE England in particular.
It's all relative though. On here I tend to assume that we are mostly based in the UK. So NW means NW UK.. South means south of Birmingham.
If I was talking to people local to me, a southerner could be someone from Dumfries. North west would be Ullapool northwards.

The BBC Scotland Weather feed is entirely about Scotland's weather (I use it when north of the borrrrrrder).
The BBC Weather feed is mostly about weather outside the UK, but has lots of England, Wales and Scotland weather mixed in there.
There is no BBC Weather England feed.

The clue is in the word in bold :okay: .

There is no BBC England TV channel either. Could it possibly be that in their arrogance they just assume that BRITISH Broadcasting Corporation really means England? Whereas us savages from the outlying bits need to be kept separate?
In a similar way to how roads are really for motor vehicles, but cyclists are kicking up a fuss so we'll paint a narrow lane in the gutter of some roads to make it look as if we are doing something!

Scotland has bbc Scotland and alba, Wales had s4c on top of national channels, England only has regional news programmes on national channels.

It kind of mirrors national anthems. Scotland, Wales both have national anthems as well as the UK one. England only has the UK one.

I wonder if that should all change?
