They were talking about this very thing on the radio yesterday, one lad found his in the oven. Apparently he moved in to a small flat and was using the oven as an extra cupboard as he didn't cook!

Won't help OP now but get a biscuit tin with a good tight lid.
Keep it on a bottom shelf or bottom of the wardrobe, as low down as you can get.

In the event of flood or fire the contents will almost always survive.

Of course it will be. It’d be a bit daft to find it, then keep on looking....


But seriously - go to the drawer where it’s usually kept. Close the drawer. Open the drawer. Look again.
Done that three times and Mrs D has done it twice. Its like, I cannot believe its lost and surely if I look again it will be there.
But I will look again tomorrow :blush:

The chip in all maroon passports has been remotely programmed to self-destruct on March 29th. Sounds like the OP's has gone off prematurely.
