Where to train during the week in London?

I am trying to take my training a little more seriously and on weekends I get out to Surrey for some long rides, but are there any routes in London which do not involve stopping and starting at traffic lights ever two minutes in London?

i am based in archway and work centrally and could put in a couple of hours before or after work.
Any ideas?

Richmond Park or Regents Park.

Head out Potters Bar way there are a few loops we do. But there is always stop starting till you get to Barnet. Or stick with Regents park.

Average-ish, but according to THIS there is a 20% ramp towards the top, which is a bit closer to 'killer'!

In true Blue Peter style, here’s one I made earlier. The ride across from the Velodrome, can be a bit ‘traffic lighty’ but once you get to Highgate, loops of the lane, and Hampstead Heath are less so.
