I used ride with few pro riders in the early 1980 they where hard men they turn up for club rides they would ride fixed gear in the winter do 100 miles some big climbs cat and fiddle wood head pass winnets there's no way you mention coach to these boys anyway get a fixed best way to learn to ride a bike

Exactly - we have a guy who rides his MTB in the winter and can still blast us when he wants.

carlsburg option, take either,then next time you go out use the other bike, you will find they both have the same engine fitted and will preform very much the same and when out with others the last thing you will think about will be which bike you are on.

I am going on the club run this sunday as my coach said he wants me out in a group more than on my own but i am undecided what bike i should take as they will be grit on the roads i don't want to clean the cervelo again but don't want to be dropped on my bh

Neither of them are suitable.
You need to buy a new special club run bike.

Take the Cervelo. It's not winter yet. You will be better able to keep up. If you are baulking so much at cleaning your bike afterwards it's not the right hobby for you.

On that basis would have to be the Cervelo as I don't think it's great form for the ride leader to be dropped?
