White van man strikes again

Few weeks ago got cut up by White Van Man in Bristol, all captured on film, reported it to the police and they said theyre not taking any action because it seemed that although yes the van driver was in the wrong by over taking on a blind bend but when he slammed on his brakes it looked like he was braking because he could see a car and cyclist on the other side of the road waiting to pull out....... Rubbish if you ask me

Punishment pass.
What would have happened had you gone into the back of his van, its hard to see how that could have been your fault.

Replace the OP cyclist with a police cyclist/car........:whistle:......The clever money is on the driver getting a ticket or a visit to magistrates.

Also to the OP and any other helmet cammers, don't go to 'normal' response police with stuff like this, they're full to overflowing with crim dam, assaults, thefts, domestics et al. Ask to speak to the local traffic bobbies - they positively salivate over stuff like this.

If you slot into Primary behind the Grey ?Vauxhall? instead of leaving a tempting gap and then complaining, the situation never arises

Would of kicked off then, im sure the white van man would of got out and it would of kicked off with him accusing me of damaging his van etc etc....

@ComedyPilot
Howd you reckon I could go about getting in contact.... Ganna have a look on the A+S police site now to see if I can get in contact, would be nice if I could get this driver prosecuted...

yeah then maybe some beeping and tailgating happens after which you'll get a punishment pass anyway and if you raise your voice a brake test and possibly assaulted.

fun being a cyclist isn't it.

@JKility Call into your local nick and ask for a traffic bobby, and make sure you tell them it's been NFA'd before, as they don't like to step on toes. Were you given an initial incident number? At the end of the vid did the driver reverse into that private drive or, more scary, were they blocking the road to get you trapped/stopped?

IMO the WVM should as a bare minimum be spoken to and given a section 59 warning? Did anyone else miss the fact this took place on the road outside a primary school? How much longer do we have to tolerate this level of bad driving?
