sometimes go out locally without my phone
Maybe I've still got the embedded idea that use of the phone was for a special occasion, from the rarity value of even a house phone during most of my life. I suppose that I went out without a phone from the 1950s, and didn't even have a house phone until the late 70s. (I expect that some even older fogey will top that now!). Going out without your phone in them thar days used to be called...just going out!You think that daring? I used to do that nearly all the time in the 70,80,90,00,10s pretty much. Now going out without the phone is only 5 days a week.

Well, put it this way, it makes a nice bulge in my trousers, albeit in the wrong place! 😆I have a wallet. It looks an awful lot like that! Despite having a purge of old receipts etc from time to time, it weighs more than i would like. Could it be considered as an offensive weapon?
Ooohhh!! That's dangerous talk!!I also have a wristwatch, and sometimes go out locally without my phone, which some may consider to be very daring.
I remember the days when if you even had a chordless phone then you must have been some sort of film star or similar.Even when we had a Motorola Brick in the 90s it felt as if there should be a fanfare of trumpets when you extended that aerial and announced that you were going to ring someone.
Err... My dinner. A glorified steak and chips! 😆:Absolutely amazing that you're going to connect to a series of multi million dollar satellites nowadays to send someone a picture of your dinner.
Yeah, there is a time of day for war, isn't there?Where's the Gravitas in that? I don't suppose even declarations of war, famine, pestilence and death were made until after 6 and at weekends ('cos that's the time to phone your friends) and even enemies, if you wanted cheap rate calls back then.
The card slots are quite handy to hold the shopping list rather than it getting crumpled loose in a pocket…..like: the “Need bread and milk” sort ?Own and use one. Useful for keeping notes and cards in, innit?
