Why do proffesional cycle racers shave their legs?

So do other athletes who require massages shave their legs I wonder.

I'd still go with aesthetics. Athletes look so damned good in the mirror why spoil it covered in fuzz?

I can definitely go for the "easier to clean" argument. After my off (see here) it was a nightmare cleaning my face as I hadn't shaved for a few days, and when the blood clotted it matted horribly in my beard, making opening my mouth and moving my neck a nightmare.
