There's nothing 'awesome' about going out in all weathers. I tend to ride on the turbo on days when the rain is heavy or if the wind is much over around 18-20mph. There is usually a training element to most of my rides, and if the wind/weather prevents me training/concentrating effectively then I'm better off on the turbo.
Each to their own. I can quite happily ride outside for 3 hours in most conditions but be too bored on a turbo indoors to complete an hour.

I was living in Sudbury then and went out to work at 0430 in the morning. The morning after the big blow there was a power cut and Sudbury was in total darkness. I went screaming down the hill towards the town on a motorbike and very nearly wiped myself out on a tree that had blown across the road. I stopped with inches to spare.

My youngest was born in the September and the storm hit in the October, I don't remember it affecting Coventry as much as places in the south, my main memory is of going to visit my sister in Kent by train shortly afterwards and the number of trees that were down.

Same problem as me, whilst I will enjoy a bike ride a Turbo session is mind numbingly boring.

I ride on windy days because I have a lot of gears on my bike.

We passed a law in Denmark that all winds have to be back winds.

That must have been Michael Fish reassuring a lady caller that despite what she had heard there was no chance of us being hit by a hurricane.
And, technically, he was right. There were, indeed, hurricane-force winds that night, but it was a storm - and a particularly violent one - but not a hurricane.

Some of us don't have a lot of choice. Being 17, it's either a 30min bike or a 1:20hr bus to college. It'll take more than a bit of wind to make me stop riding.

Mind you, I draw the line at black ice.

Studded tyres work wonders on black ice

Gotta say that if I didn't commute, I don't think I would have been out in the windy weather of the last week or so. As it is, I've been riding everyday and it's satisfying when you get through it.

Because of the horrendous weather we have been having, I was just checking between how far I cycled last Dec and this Dec. This Dec, I`ve done about a quarter of the miles and that is mainly due to the strong winds we`ve been experiencing.

Today, I saw two different cyclists having two major wobbles due to the wind and I just don`t understand why they would go out when it is so windy. I love cycling but I love coming home in one piece even more!
