As long as I breathe, I attack.
I must admit the last week i have not been on the bike because of xmas the only opportunity`s seem to have been when its blowing a feckign gale.Yesterday i was on the motorway and the car was being side swiped , pot plants have been blown over and smashed in the garden and the trampoline blown over even though i have brick garden walls.
SWMBO has also been doing overtime while i have been off so i have been doing daddy duties with the kids.
Today the one chance i had has been spent on making a flat pack cabin bed
Tomorrow swmbo is working all day and i have to take the kids to a soft play party
Monday i am working + having a tooth out .

You get the idea

I haven't been out for a while due to the high winds and rain. Today, just when it's not too bad, I have a nasty chest cold - grrrr!!!!

A 3 year old son means I can't get out whenever I like so if it's windy or raining I just have to endure it. Besides, it's an extra work out and those hills I'm struggling up in the wind will feel that bit easier during calmer weather.

Because of the horrendous weather we have been having, I was just checking between how far I cycled last Dec and this Dec. This Dec, I`ve done about a quarter of the miles and that is mainly due to the strong winds we`ve been experiencing.

Today, I saw two different cyclists having two major wobbles due to the wind and I just don`t understand why they would go out when it is so windy. I love cycling but I love coming home in one piece even more!

Just another day for cycling, if it gets to the stage where its that bad I can't stand up then I wont cycle.

I don`t mind the wind it adds to the workout but the gusts can be dangerous. That`s one of the reasons I got the rollers.

// If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Fair-weather riding is a luxury reserved for Sunday afternoons and wide boulevards. Those who ride in foul weather – be it cold, wet, or inordinately hot – are members of a special club of riders who, on the morning of a big ride, pull back the curtain to check the weather and, upon seeing rain falling from the skies, allow a wry smile to spread across their face. This is a rider who loves the work.
