Have you ever tried a bike and wished you hadn't. I am really struggling to find a bike that both looks and feels good, but nothing is doing it for me.

Until I tried a bike which was so good my wife threatened me with divorce. The Wilier GTR 105 for me is one of the best looking bikes around and better still I tried it and couldn't fault it, it felt perfect.

Downside was the £1800 price tag as you can knock the first digit off to reveal my budget which in realistic hush hush terms means £1000.

Another shame was that they didn't have the Izoard xp 105 in my size to try as I'm hoping its a close second

When I brought my Verenti I was a bit underwhelmed the first time rode it, but I fine tuned the set up and put some miles under the wheels and after a while I grew to like it.

No and I refuse to aero test anything which is beyond my means, since if it shows up to be more aero, then I won't be able to buy it and will have sown the seed that my kit is inadequite. I can do without the doubt.

We had a glorious set of Zipp 808's in the back room for a while, borrowed to be used as spares in a long distance event, they were never needed as a spare, but I was tempted a few times to go out and aero test the front, but I restrained myself because I knew if it showed up as better than my FFWD trispoke I'd then know my trispoke was "holding me back" yet wouldn't be able to buy a Zipp of my own.

Ah you'll find an even better bike for less eventually.

Bit of a ridiculous price for that anyway.

I test rode an equilbrium, knew the stock bike wasn't for me but knew I wanted the frame and get it built with the right groupset etc.

There is a bike i really really really want, but being real i cant afford it and i am not getting in debt for it.

My current bike is great, i like it and its mine, so i just need to ride it more to make it faster.

On my computer is a folder, in that folder is a list of links, those links take me to the components of the fixed I want to build up as a replacement for my trusty Pearson, I look in the folder occasionally and update the links if necessary. At the moment money is very tight and I have a list of essential jobs that must be done, I'm working through the list ticking of the jobs when I can get them done, the folder will just stay on the computer for now.
