Going 150mph on a push bike is not just frightening/skilful. It's physically impossible.

You can read more about the history of motor paced records here. There's are interesting photos of Jose Meiffret and his ludicrous chainring in this thread and there's footage of Meiffret on youtube if you look for it. Going further back Mile-a-minute-Murphy is another interesting character. You could argue that cycling 500+ km from Bordeaux to Paris behind a windbreaker defeats the purpose but Jaques Anquetil and a host of other greats didn't think so. Paul Kimmage gave an account of riding in one of the last ever motorpaced Bordeaux Paris races in his book "Rough Ride".

I know that motorpaced riding isn't very popular these days, outside of the velodrome at least, but it has a long and interesting history.
Riders in Bordeaux - Paris rode half the race unaided then picked up the derny pacers for the second half. Tom Simpson won the 360 mile event in 1963.

1989 - one of the first test cars before the V10 (based on a V8) was ready. Plus if you wait around a few years the new model will be offered in V8 form with no V10 at all.

So, going back to the originating post of this particular discussion, to drive at 150 mph in a V8 Dodge Viper, one has to either:

1. drive a fibreglass prototype with no roof that probably has no chance of reaching that speed without falling apart, even behind a faired RR.

OR

2. live 2-3 years in the future in order to buy a car that doesn't yet exist, providing the whole idea hasn't been canned by that time?
