Ha! Your starter word contains the same letters as my usual, "STEAL". Occasionally I go with "LASER". I discovered that "SHITE" is also acceptable, which was a surprise. Unlikely to ever be a hole in one though, I suspect!

A difficult route to the solution today. After line 3, "O" had to be either first or last letter. "R" had to be 2nd or 4th. Took a while.....

That’s my usual starter too, only sometimes, like today, I switch the letters around.

Depending on the outcome, my second line will be along the lines of HOUND, MOUND or FOUND.

My wife usually starts hers with ADIEU.
