But its becoming uncool to think Coldplay are uncool, and theyre seriously uncool. So Mumfords must have a fighting chance surely?

Its the circle, the circle of cool...

I would prefer Sir Tim and Sir Elton than the posh Wurzels.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Japan. They made Coldplay look like Motorhead. ;)[/QUOTE]

Actually Motorhead deserve a dishonourable mention

I saw them in Hamersmth in the early 70's and they were booed off stage as they were so appalling

The Stone Roses , one reasonable album , sorry not good enough. Plus I'm not going to mention Ian Browns vocal skills .

I was obsessed by The Stone Roses as a kid. When the long awaited second album came out we rushed into town to buy our copies then sat in stitches laughing at the songs. I don't mind them so much now.

I saw The Stone Roses play on that second album tour, we were queuing outside Brixton Academy and could hear Ian Brown sound checking. The queue looked sad.

I saw Ian Brown at Poole Art House , there were more people in the bar than in the Concert Hall . He then got abusive telling them all to get back in ... it was like being told off by your Dad.

I published a great review of an Ian Brown gig in New York or somewhere once, it ended with the band leaving the stage and Ian Brown threatening members of the security to a karate fight!

What about The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, they look all attitude, apart from the gimp in the onesie, but the music is shïte.

And Moron Five, already mentioned, are unbelievably
rubbish with one of the most irritating vocalists ever.

Bartok, made O-Level music a right pain.
