Latest aero road helmets do not make you boil! Some reviews actually state that they vent better as the airflow is vastly improved and directed.

I would buy an aero road helmet today if someone could advise whether they cut wind noise too!?!
I have a Giro Advantage and it cuts out wind noise . Problem is , it cuts out all noise . I wouldn't use it for road riding or even training rides for that reason . I actually think my S Works Evade is faster but have no proof of that .

Been looking at the Evade today again. Seen it for £99 now. That's in Black and Red or the CVNDSH version. The latter will match the sunnies that the missus got me for Chrimbo last year. That's a bad thing as much as s good thing though. Lol.

I do like the CVNDSH minimalism and can live with the green, but plain black would be ideal. The normal black one has huge white lettering though. Pretty likely to order the CVNDSH soon.

Edit: how is the wind noise with the Evade @Cuchilo?

I'm not sure i know what noise you are talking about to be honest . I've only really worn a kask , evade and advantage . The kask and evade are the same , the advantage covers your ears so mutes everything .

My Giro Savant is loud when cutting the air cycling along. Really annoying in any position other than direct head or tail wind.

Both of my decent lids are aero lids. They do stop your head getting buffeted in cross / strong winds, and if they have a visor, they are excellent at preventing your eyes watering / getting bits in them, going down hill, without the slippage you get with glasses. They certainly don't "boil" you either, they are designed with decent venting to prevent that. Some of the B.S. that I hear when people see my lids is worthy of inclusion in a book (usually from people who've never ridden with an aero lid).

The whoooosh noise ? That just means you're going really really fast :okay: I think with any helmet that covers your ears the wind is going to be the main noise you hear as you're punching through it with your head at 20 - 30 - 40 MPH
