It'll only make you speed up enough to get away from people giggling at you
As others have said: unless you're head down and pumping in a TT stylee, it won't make any difference.
I saw a fat lad struggling up a non too challenging hill years ago.doing about 7 mph He was wearing a t shirt, jeans and an aero helmet.



I think with any helmet that covers your ears the wind is going to be the main noise you hear as you're punching through it with your head at 20 - 30 - 40 MPH
