Lurking above the Foulridge Tunnel

Quite pleased with this one from the tunnel at Boulc. It's a bit better now that they've put in 60w in place of the 40w bulbs, but it's still a spooky one... 880m long, 11% gradient, on a curve. When they built it I think it cost something like 150,000€ per resident it served. But without it, several small villages would have been cut off for months of the year, when the external road got too unsafe to use about 20 years ago.
