The first thing I did was show my daughter @stoatsngroats 's photos of the foxes. After a big soppy 'Aahhhh! They're wonderful!' I got, 'Dad, why don't we have any foxes come into our garden?'

I was getting quite excited there until I spotted your location.

There's a lot of work going on around the possibilities of reintroducing beaver into the UK and there seem to be massive benefits to having them around.

They've recently been introduced into Cheshire.

First crocus of 2021 spotted in our garden

Roving flocks of up to ~40 Common Redpolls feeding on silver birch seeds in the garden this afternoon.
Poor quality pic taken through the dining room window - they're just too far away and silhouetted, but looked good through the scope from upstairs. No Arctic Redpolls in the flocks as far as I could tell, but they're damn hard to differentiate anyway.

I‘ve seen them flashing past going down the river, but still not seen one perched close up.
