A colleague had one of those above his desk in a workshop, it ruined a Talking Heads cover tune for me. One Saturday morning with only 3 people working it performed its swansong after being assailed by many pellets fired from a Webley Tempest. I know someone who was present but am uncertain whether or not I may have handled the gun, it was possibly the other bloke, hard to say really.

awesome bassline! ...I've not listened to Slap in over 25 years, but the opening of that tune "OK, lay some drums on me... gimme some bass" often pops into my head. Bow bow bam boom, bow bow bam boom...

I saw Jack Bruce at The Stables, Wavendon, last time he played there. Unfortunately, he wanted to play the piano most of the time 😔
