I do enjoy hearing the bass guitar solo from My Generation by John Entwhistle. It’s a classic thing of all time.

The closing slide guitar solo by George Harrison is rather pleasant...

Harrison got seriously into slide playing around the 1967-8 mark. He'd let his guitar playing drift a bit after spending 2 years learning sitar, and once back at it he realised hed lost ground to the likes of Clapton, Beck, and the upcoming Jimmy Page, and hed never be at their level.

So he decided to branch out into a then less popular genre of playing and hit upon slide, thus becoming one of the ealier rock artists to get into it and morphing into quite a respected slide player. He was also a fairly good lap steel player as was, surprisingly, John Lennon.
