Shimano M520 SPD pedals :becool:

DCLane

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
Lights; Cateye Uno front and rear.

I know the front doesn't give much light, but the back's good.

Then came the deluge of clothes, other items and more bikes.

My first bit of kit was puncture kit, pump and levers. Bought after a walk home. Then lights when I was working nights. They were the ones with the little knob to twist to turn on for the front light. I'll find a piccie whrn I get home.

Pump
Spare tubes
Tyre levers
Saddle bag
Bottle cage
Computer

Other things I have acquired since then include;
Many items of clothing
C02 Pump
New Saddle
New Wheels
Track pump
More bikes (as has been said before)

Primal Scream

Get your rocks off
New pedals with miniclips to replace the clipless pedals the bike came with as I did not feel confident enough to use them.

I bought spare inner tubes and tyre levers and a few days later a track pump.

H*lm*t and Computer on the day I bought the bike.

Followed rapidly by all the usual stuff, which in total cost more than the bike.

My first real racer was a raleigh scorpio when I was about 12 ish, bought by my paper round. Upgrading wasnt in my mind just riding, so a puncture repair kit and a pump were my first buys. Didnt even think of tools back then, never seemed to need them in those days?

Not one-piece-of-kit.

But the following are essential in my eyes:

Bottle cage
Small under saddle bag
Repair kit
multi-tool (Topeak in my case)
Pump
Tube
Energy bar

all live in small bag.

Items since then

B&M Cyo & seculite rear + dymotect dynamo (lights all the time:thumbsup:)
SKS Commuter mudguards

Now self-sufficient and can go out in any weather and any time of day, nowt else need but food and water.

It was that long ago I don't actually remember, I suspect I didn't buy anything in the way of kit.

After the initial kit bought with the bike - cycling glasses a must. They were £15 from Argos.
I now have custom Oakley half jackets as well as fake Chinese oakley jawbones which cost £12 a set (3 sets of lenses) !!!
