Football, still play at 50, watch pro and local amatuer teams and coach a junior under 14's team. Collect wristwatches and love vintage scooters. Cycling has slowly taken over more and more of my free time, I am seriously thinking of saying goodbye to the watches.

My main other hobby is photography. Also when I get chance, I'll get on the Xbox, currently working my way through Forza 4 and Battlefield 3.

I have so many things I am interested in, its impossible to advance each and every one to a level I would be happy with.

I guess the two main ones I keep coming back to are computing (I like to build them and mess around with different operating systems) and Car audio.

Cycling is my latest one, I don't know if it is a long term thing or a passing whim, time will tell I am sure.

I teach karate and find Cycling and karate are quite mutually beneficial. Especially from the endurance and lightness/quickness of foot point of view.
I also take "Yoga" classes. I tend to carry a lot of stiffness in the shoulders/lower back and I find it helps.

jumping into the Forth on New Years day:tongue:
A "Looney Dooker" then? I used to be a (social) member of the Bute Rugby Club in my youth. Their party piece was to jump into the Clyde off Rothesay pier on New Years Day and swim the 100 yards or so to shore. Certainly sobered them up! I am a wimp when it comes to getting cold, so I did NOT take part :cold:.

Apart from cycling, nothing much really - just a bit of light drug dealing, people-smuggling, fraud and blackmail.

Photography for me. Expensive stuff... but aren't most things nowadays when you get into them?!?! (used to do SCUBA diving so kind of "used" to the expenditure)

Sport was always my thing, nearly all my spare time was taken up with football, cricket, golf, tennis, badminton or squash depending on the time of the year. After I had to give up playing these sports I followed football, although as the years have passed by I've become less and less interested in that, in fact as soon as Man City win the league that will probably be the end of football for me.

I followed the England cricket team on their overseas tours, great times even when they were getting thrashed.

Travel has been another hobby, somewhat to the point of obsession. I've visited 139 countries and seen many wonderful sights in the world. Travel is something else that I'm becoming disillusioned with due to the hassles every time you pass through an airport. There are still three or four more places I'd like to visit before finally hanging up my passport though.

Cycling is undoubtedly my main hobby now, I love being out in the fresh air, finding new routes and being able to keep fairly fit, if I'm off the bike for more than a couple of days then I get withdrawal symptoms, cycling definitely helps me with a sense of wellbeing and long may it continue.

Almost all of my spare time is taken up with 3D art or doing something to do with minor league motorsport be it racing or prepping/maintaining my cars these days. Cycling is mostly confined to commute & utility cycling, that said I train on my commutes & am aiming to get in some sportives & endurance events this year.

I switch between swing dancing and horse riding every couple of years. Both can be quite technical once you get into them, cycling is less so (for me at least) so it's nice to have time out to think about nothing imparticular.

I used to be really into showjumping, but considering how brilliantly our british dressage riders are doing at the moment, I'm starting to take more notice of that. Fairweather fan? me?

No amateur astronomers on here?

No? I guess I am the only one then, that is my principal hobby.
Looks like you're not the only one

Other hobbies, photography, astrophotography, computers, guitar, keyboard (once I get round to learning it properly) and used to like playing football years ago but don't do much of that now.

I wouldn't class horse riding as one of my hobbies but I had my first lesson back in August and totally enjoyed it, I might get a few more lessons in once the daylight starts getting longer.

Good to know that a few astro nuts like myself are also cyclists. I am purely visual as the imaging side is just way too expensive for me to get started in apart from some basic planetary webcam images, my avatar is my best effort of Jupiter this year.
