Are people posting their hobbies here or their interests? I feel completely inadequate because although I'm interested in all kinds of things I don't have time for much more than cycling and maintaining my house. The other main activities are working, sleeping, cooking and cleaning.

The contents of my shed, garage and cupboards bear testimony to my range of hobbies. The bowing bookshelves bear testimony to my interests.

Making things, out of wood, metal and fabric.
I am working on building an electric car for commuting having already built an electric mini tractor to play with.

I am also rebuilding my house, it is a long project and lots of fun.

I act in amature theatre and also build and paint the sets and make the props though I am going to jack that in.

The hobbies I have posted are active hobbies.
I do also have interests, Cosmology, Geology, Theology, History, Agriculture, Military Transport, Environmental Issues, Steam Engines, Art, Architecture, to name but a few. The interests tend to be represented by the contents of my library and TV/video viewing.

Selling stuff on ebay. I haven't actually sold anything yet but the auction ends in a couple of days and I have 3 bids! Lousy bids, but still.. If all goes well I'll get some more stuff out of the loft and flog that as well. (none cycling related)

Dunno why, but I hate the term 'hobby'. It seems to denote pointless activity. There again, I'm a cyclist, so what do I know? I draw and paint, with occasional exhibitions; I walk, mostly longish-distance; I design and host websites, but some of that's for money; I do a bit of business consultancy, also for money. But I think I'd have to define myself by, if anything, the art. (As above, I don't think that passive activities such as reading and listening to music count as hobbies).

Electric guitar, skiing, photography, films. Pretty standard stuff, but along with the bikes there is something there for any kind of weather.

Photography for me. Expensive stuff... but aren't most things nowadays when you get into them?!?! (used to do SCUBA diving so kind of "used" to the expenditure)
I'd love to have a go at SCUBA diving. Maybe they have 'try-outs' around here - are they run at local swimming pools, maybe?

My main hobby is going away in our campervan for as many weekends and longer breaks as possible. It's not really the time of year for it now, though!

The other thing which takes up my time is playing guitar and associated instruments. Currently there are 2 acoustic guitars, an acoustic bass, a bouzouki, a banjo, an electric guitar and 2 ukuleles all vying for space in the spare bedroom.....
