33 miles out to Wetherby and Follifoot and back via Harewood, Weardly and Eccup. Good stuff in the sunshine.

I was suffering today, lack of miles? But did Watership Down and some other climbs 44 miles by the time I got home. Anyway, at least I didn't have my tyre explode (good job) we were handily outside a bike shop! Which allowed me to catch up after being dropped.Then later we had the desintergrating deraillieur, what do you expect coming out on a half sofa half bike Tony but we managed to find nearly all the bits and effect a repair (of sorts).

there's nothing quite like going out for a ride with the one you love. A slow, sunny drift through some of the dullsome parts of southwest London to get to Kingston, then over Kingston Bridge and Hampton Bridge for a cuppa. North of the bridge again, and, keeping the river on our left, we went through Lower Sunbury, and on to Chertsey, taking the delightful diversion down Ferry Lane.
We would have passed half a dozen eyots, each reached by little bridges (Bonj would have been beside himself) and lots and lots of boats moored or pottering up and down. The meadows beside the river rang with birdsong. Sunlight bounced off the water. Groups of ramblers, mostly elderly, tramped up the riverside path.
Chiswick station just in time for the 11.07 back to Clapham Junction. Contentment was ours.

My second club run today, down through the wilds of Kent to Rye and back, beautiful sunny very warm weather. The computer says 107.3 miles door to door with an average of 17.5mph 
- even though i sort of blew up after 95ish miles climbing the north downs for the last time

20 mile ride in the Wolds on my new training route, chopped 1 minute 30 seconds off my best time and down to 1 hour 16 minutes now. Winds were favourable though.
Nearly wiped out by a 4x4 who was on the wrong side of the road coming round a blind corner, then an old woman pulled out in front of me making me slow down and stop loosing all my speed uphill.

I rode to Burnley via Littleborough and Todmorden, Half hoping to bump into the cyclechat ride out that way (ish) today. Undulating and fast, all was going well until I chucked my rear mech into me back wheel after a brief stop-and-adjust. Stuffed it good style.
Thankfully, my kind, caring, generous and sexy good lady picked me up from Rochdale train station, so 40 out of a possible 50 completed. Nice ride otherwise.

A couple of hours round the lanes, heard another cuckoo in a different valley (no, I didn't shoot that one either
) no idea how far nor how fast, although at the top of a long ascent an oncoming guy on an MTB took both hands off the bars and applauded I do hope it wasn't ironic: they're funny beggers them MTB'ers/

Hard and hilly as some of us went across the trough and up the Boundary for the second time this week, only today we put Tatham Fell in before it. Nice weather and biggest ride of the year at 83 miles.
A leisurely 50 miles around Chester way. It was a doddle, it's practially flat over there and there was no wind, which is a contrast to all the hills over here and the constant wind we seem to be having (it usually looks gorgeous out, so you dig the bike out for a pootle only to find you have to contend with headwinds and nasty crosswinds). All in all a gorgeous day.

100km Permanent Audax from York to Driffield and back via Stanford Bridge. Garrowby bank got the better of me on the outward leg and I had to dismount and push for 100m or so. Got round in just over five hours including stops.
The view of the Vale of York from the top of Garrowby Hill is stunning. Enjoyed the weather too.

66 miles today, left at 11.50, and indoors again at 17.25. had lunch in a McD's
and 10 minutes at Southsea....
