Lovely pic, John!

Thanks - if only my phone could have got the whole rainbow. It was a full arch, and with one outer bow and two in places as well.

The plan was to bike round the shower....the plan failed.

Wanted to do 30miles, but I got lost and got caught by the traffic so decided to only do 20.

I have been commuting daily for about 2 weeks now, 10 mile each way, roughly 5 miles uphill (500 feet) and 5 miles down t'uther side.

Late week my average was a shade over 13 mph, saw it creep up to 14.1 on Monday morning, yesterday morning back to 13 mph, this morning 15.6 and that’s with a stop for red lights at some road works. Feckin' flying, no wind assistance just a dry sunny morning.

The difference? I lowered my saddle height because of pressure sores in the seat bone area.

just over 40 miles for me, the wind was quite strong, I sometimes gauge the wind from what it's blowing like on the tall trees in the garden, but it seems a hell of allot stronger when I get out of the village, It was great out of the wind but into the wind was abit tough today. I did not take any food with me wish I did now.

Went to Barlow Common, drax looks huge no wonder they use bicycles to get around the place, I did abit of exploring and ended up in a small village I'd never being to before, then I went onto the main road between Selby and Goole and lots of mad people on it.

I really like cycling past Drax and Eggborough. Went past Eggborough on a full moon once. I even thought of doing a 7 coal power station ride once.

It was soooo windy this evening.

A slow 32 miler after work dodging the rain, couldn't escape the wind though ;-(

Watching the Hearts FC game and listening to my windows it looks/ sounds like I got back to the flat at the right time.

Bit of a struggle today with headwinds and sidewinds strong enough to push me around on the road. It also turned out my wind-breaker is not exactly breathable. More like a portable sauna. Oh well, it's good for detoxing, apparently.
Hoping for better winds on the way home. If there's one thing I hate, it's headwind.

More or less the same loop tonight ^...luckily no WVM ^....still windy....but wet as well. And the temperature has dropped considerably. Bikes dirty and wet ...work tomorrow, so it'll get a good clean and i'll get paid for doing it

Easy ride out tonight with BIL. went round park 3 times, last in pitch dark. Nice and dry. but very windy. Enjoyable up till some asre launched the remnants of their mac meal drink over me. Do they go to practice somewhere? Barsteward always seem to hit me.

I got off lightly. the three girls walking up the rd got rattled with a plastic bottle.

Had a nice 30 odd miles today including a 1/4 climb. Didn't know my exact distance as I took my computer sensor off, rode with 2 others.

First ride for over 3 weeks so thought I'd just go a short way down to Gosforth and back along Route 10 but nipped to Horton Grange, turning off to the Cheese Farm up a road I'd not been on before which went a lot further than I expected- ended up at Morpeth! Back to Ponteland via Kirkley.

This won't mean anything if you don't know where I'm on about!
A shower then a cuppa!

[Edit: Just worked it out: 28 miles]
