Well I went out for a short ride today, pretty windy, cold, I had leg warmers, arm warmers on and gloves in my back pocket, I was just testing a route out, I've got in some roads that I've never being on before.

I planned a rolling route, but it seemed more of flat...rolling...then hilly route, then I was going around the north east corner of leeds and was surprised how close it is, over the A64, about 10 miles further on it suddenly got busy and I thought there a fair or something but that turned out to be the Leeds Fest, I was thinking maybe going in with my bike but I'd have looked abit of a plank, so on I went for half a mile or so it seemed stopped had a mars bar and you could hear the music thumping away.

So I kept on going to taddy then turned off for Church Fenton and the headwind was gusting and tough grinding away at 17mph, thank god a couple miles on it turned into a cross wind!

I got worried near bramham where I was indicating to turn right and swooped to the left I thought bloody hell I'm going onto the A1(M)

I'm surprised the elevation appears to be correct for once it's usually 1000+ft out.

A nice ride around East Lothian with the CC Central Scotland crowd, I took this picture on the way but I couldn't convince the health conscious crowd to stop in .

No Scoosh was leading the way and took a different route, had I know where the turning was I would have been there...

I am sure the beer is isotonic and had I stopped I wouldn't have suffered the serious cramps 5 mins from the end....

50 mile loop around Southend, taking in Battlesbridge and Pagglesham. Pretty cold at the 6am start but warmed up slightly. Nice ride but the only disappointment was thAt my iPhone paused the gps after I took some photos so my motion-x gps only tracked the first 37 miles.

Went for a ride out with a group of lads organised by the LBS.

Some fantastic scenery around Oxfordshire and Northants and clocked up my first 100mile ever.

Everything's fine body wise except for a sightly tender posterier!!

Yesterday did 61.5 miles anti clockwise around the island of Anglesey with my mate Ian.

Starting at Tyn Y Gongl then went through Moelfre - Dulas - Amlwch - Bull Bay - Camaes Bay - Valley - Rhosneigr - Aberffraw - Maltraeth - Newborough - Brynciencyn - Lanfair PG - Pentraeth - Benllech then back to Tyn Y Gongl.
Struggled with crosswinds at the start, then into a full on head wind, then got blown home with a tail wind right up the jacksey!

Cracking views on route including some steady climbs here and there. Stopped at Valley for a sandwich then later at Newborough for a cream tea (lovely!).

Bit knackered last night but relaxed with a half price bottle of Rioja (isotonic of course!).

Shrimp Stu, we probley passed, i was doing a 10 mile sprint out to Canewdon small world!!! weather was ok but that headwind !!!!!

I was out in canewdon way at about 8am, the headwind coming back from Paglesham was pretty bad (especially as it is so wide open) but thankfully coming back home along the seafront I had a lovely tailwind for a nice sprint back to Shoebury. Saw a lot of bikes out early - I was on my Spez Alle z and was in my yellow/black Opel s/s jersey with my nice new PBK glasses courtesy of the forums for £9.25.
I normally try and get out to Canewdon on a Sunday & pass Lot of the Southend Wheelers coming out of Rochford upto the village hall. Although next 2 weeks are occupied with the Southend bikeathon & the Foulness bike ride.

I had cramp like that a few weeks ago I sympathise. The pain felt as bad as it did when I was in labour 16 years ago no joke!!

I did a wee 22 miler yesterday, to make up for not joining you all

My ride yesterday was from out of the front door and down to Ravensburg. It was quite cold on Sat/Sun night and so as soon as I got out of the valley I had the most wonderful view of the Alps in the distance. All the humidity had gone out of the air so everything felt clean and the colours of the trees and the crops in the fields were positively blazing. It was a bit up and down but more down than up with a couple of really long, fast descents. It's the first time I've done this route but I'll be doing it again and extending it the last few kms to Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance.

Out on my new un for an excellent round trip to buy a bike for my dad from a very nice forummer.

A couple of hills, good great superb views, a couple of brews, good chat and some of the Pennine Bridleway on the way back.

I think I love my bike already
