My ride today got off to a bad start. On the way out of the front door I realised my front tyre was substantially deflated by the way it reacted as it hit the cill. Quick tube change then off for a 65 miler. The only abuse I got was from the driver of a lorry carrying scaffolding.

A 35 mile pootle this afternoon. Its beautiful out there, still green, but lots of different colours...
Nothing really, but i always like the way this road sweeps off into the distance...

I had a very nice 20 odd mile run to work today, it was dark when I left the house. Very chilly ride for the first few miles until I heated up and I should have worn my gloves. I bought some dhb thermal tights and they're amazing. Honestly if anyone out there doesn't wear thermals then you should try 'em out, they make it fun to ride in the cold. My shoes however brrrrrrr - need to fish out my over-shoes tonight and maybe an extra pair of socks.

Dug out the Winter iron today. Spent the first half of the ride moaning on how the position was marginally different to the Summer job. By the time I got home I'd appreciated how comfortable it was. Must tighten up the pedal springs. Saddle pack has summat rattling in it.

Jeez, my drives me nuts. I put toilet roll in there, stuffed it with sponge, wedged everything in...it still rattles
10 mile commute tonight....seemed like every traffic light was against me. Good boy tonight....no RLJing, no hopping on the paths...just wait like everyone else. Its kinda theraputic.

Managed a PB today distance wise, me and Mrs RH did a route which totalled 27 mile, 3 more than previous PB. Still very slow and completely whacked out now, but had a great day in the Warwickshire countryside.

I took a hilly route home yesterday 25 miles or thereabouts so added to my 20 odd mile run to work I clocked up some decent miles. I fished out the gloves last night but didn't need them this morning....just a matter of time though.

made the mistake of doing the steepest climb that could be considered on a direct route home 5 min after setting out. I'll not be doing that again.
