Today I went to the opening of the Bath Two Tunnels cycle route and rode the new route. It's a great level track through two old railway tunnels, giving a way to avoid some really unpleasant roads and massive hills. The opening was a great event with load of people turning up, and the ride through the tunnels very exciting. Get yourselves to Bath and give it a try!![]()
.......... the story even made the local BBC news

. A couple of pics, Belvoir Castle in the background
.My hamfistness broke the barrel adjuster and it only costs £15 more to buy a whole new mech from
. (Apologies to the 3 cyclists we met on the junction with me smack bang in the middle not making my mind up which side I was going to pass on - low blood pressure had me a touch fuzzy this morning!) The flooding (aka water splash) on the white route is still there as well and included a dog today for added fun! Also got a 2nd place on the only other segment - so good day given I didn't know they were there! We just ride and find out afterwards... Blakemere Moss was unbelievably noisy with the number of birds on it today. Wished I had taken the camera because there was some really nice light on some of the ponds this morning...
but t'wasn't in Fife. It was bloomin' freezing - and I'm a very well-padded, well-insulated lass who rarely feels the cold
. I bought myself a gilet as I had been getting too hot in my jacket, and could have worn me jacket on top today.....only did 51 minutes as I couldn't wait to get back home and have a warm bath and a brew
