Made my excuses, left the Office at 2. Did a few chores to free up the weekend. And then went on a loop with a few tools to adjust / fettle a few things on the Trek in real time. And play around with raising the seat height…..

Onto Gt Yarmouth and over Breydon Water:

Then around the back of Gt Yarmouth and toward Caister:

Where my plan to catch Sunrise at the Beach was realised:

So I soaked it in 😁

This bike may be an odd MPH faster than my normal and now quite svelte Carrera. Hard to tell ! **I can tell the difference between 32c tyres on this and the much plusher riding 38c on the Carrera mind…..😉

Really enjoyed that - after having a week off pretty much; post-Dynamo last weekend 👍

Yesterday got on the turbo for an hour or so ,Zwift cog and click worked ok although it does need a slight adjust as the chain was a bit rattly; was also a bit warm even being next to an open window .

33km all in.

Yesterday I rented a bike in Aegina Town 🇬🇷 and rode the coast road down to Perdika.
Very enjoyable couple of hours passing along a couple of small beach resorts & a couple of fishing boat harbours.

I wanted to test my recovering ankle out on some hills, but didn't want to go too far so I headed off to a favourite couple of hills on the North Downs to mess around a bit with the option to bail out and roll back down if my ankle wasn't good.

There were SO MANY cyclists out. Going up one of my target hills (Beddlestead Lane ) I was passed by an absolute stream of cyclists, including some large bunches, a couple of full-on chain gangs and smaller groups. I asked some people if there was an event on, but no. It seemed like all the cyclists in the South East wanted to ride up Beddlestead Lane. I was the only one to turn round at the top and go straight back down though.

Must have been the sunny weather.

Ankle was fine, btw. Time to get back to my usual routes.

Ha ! Agreed. Best medicine I’ve found is: grin and bear it. *I’ve not had much luck with the NHS……

Running some errands on the F.I.T Bike Co 22” this afternoon. Man; what a giggle. Feels like I’m only 50 again……🙄🤣

Almost my usual Saturday ride today.

The ride to the meet was a bit depressing. I arrived at traffic lights at a T junction just before 8am. I waited 3 cycles of the lights but they weren't detecting me, looked back and there was no traffic in sight to trigger them and unfortunately there's no ped crossing, so I crawled through on red carefully observing that there was no traffic on what would be the minor arm, except a driver in the distance. He saddly chased me down to shout the red light abuse.

The ride fortunately after that when I met my mates was great. Some good banter at the hotel cafe then round to the pub for some more banter and a couple of pints of rocket fuel. Before cycling the 14miles home at a good pace (20.8mph). The bit that was slightly different the folk I normally cycle to town with left early, so I went a slightly different route.
