3.5 fresh but enjoyable miles around Oulton Broad, Lake Lothing and the Normanston Pk areas near Lowestoft, Suffolk this Morning.

Mostly off-piste per-se. All very sloshy !

Bracing 3.5 mile seaside walk this Morning.

That stretched the muscles. And froze the cockles 😉

Several weeks of shortish walks, recently, but yesterday was an opportunity for a longer hike.
I eas intending to head to the Peak District for a hike I've already routed: Castleton, Msm Tor, Winnats Pass & Cavedale. The weather made it impractical, sadly; thick fog at altitude & generally dreary.
Still, I thought a bit of a coastal jaunt would be nice as, after checking forecasts, The Wash seemed worth a visit.
I left home early and was parked near Sutton Bridge by 05:00,still dark, obviously, and walked th le initial 5½ miles on country lanes with a few footpaths across fields, to the northernmost part by sunrise.

All of the seaward side of the Charles 111 Coastal Footpath is a designated Danger Zone where the RAF practice shooting at moored hulks & stuff. Not yesterday, though, unfortunately! 😋

Needless to say, I kept to the footpath 👍

There's several WW2 pillboxes in the area plus the lowest Trig Point I've ever bagged.. 12m.
I actually had to walk down the dyke-side to reach it 😂

Once back at the car, I fired up the stove for a coffee & pasta snackpot.

A pleasant 12¼ miles with a stunning 55' of altitude 😋

Once walked, I got the Brommie out of the car for a bit of a bimble around, including Sutton Bridge, that I've driven through so many times but never explored. Nice little place!
