A quick question if I choose a route and when riding does it automatically take me on that route unless I decide to make my own turn such as I turn left.

What AlanW said.

Heres a link to somewhere where you can download the maps. Lots of info too:

Had my first "race" yesterday. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing and being able to employ peleton style race tactics (which I suspect I'd never really have a chance to do in real life) was great fun. Attacked with about 4 miles left to go of the figure 8 and just about held up before the group caught me. Exhilarating!

Just find a d pace race and go with it to get a feel. No ones going to mind if you drop out or anything. I learnt a lot, mostly just how much power you can drop off but still maintain speed whilst drafting downhill. You really don't have to spin up as much as you might have thought.

Did my first Zwift race today. Only 5k but it was all in . Think I finished 37th out of around 60. I'll need to see if I can find the results. Great fun!
http://www.zwiftpower.com/ publishes ride/race results.
You need to register and link your strava account to see full power data.
It estimates your ftp which is likely to be way off; so you may want to do the FTP test in zwift workout menu to get accurate data.

Been on Zwift since the end of November. Started racing the other week, I'm better on the flat races, came in 7th yesterday in a KISS Pacific race.

Using a Cascade FluidPro trainer and zPower (virtual power curve with acceleration), hope to add a power meter to my setup at some point for better accuracy.
