I'm a campagnolo fan, veloce group set on the winter bike, chorus on the summer bike. The hoods are really comfy, the clunk on the gear change is great. I've ridden ultegra and it works just fine, quieter than campagnolo. Being able to change gear out of the saddle up hill on campag with no fuss is a bonus, not something to try on Shimano if you like you chain in one piece. Also the thumb shifters work for me, and the fact the brake level doesn't move sideways. Is this all worth the extra outlay, probably not and I'd be find on Shimano or SRAM, mechanical or electric. But I like what I like, it my opinion it looks nicer with its carbon shifters, chainset and rear mech, especially on the Bianchis.
