Just watched the video, amazing performance guys:notworthy:

Carl for his super human fastest time sprints, Splitters all over the front of each sprint. :okay:

Paul, incredible resilience contesting most of the sprints and then low cadence powering up Libby hill :okay::okay:

All done with 3.1W/kg for the whole event. bloody C cat power

Tommy gave us instructions to stay ahead of Jura at every prime .... so I kind of just saw 'red' and did my best to get past them

Posted this earlier on the Splitters thread, but shows how we dominated the sprints. Ranked by w/kg all our 6 riders are in the top 12 (out of 43). So we knew, as a sprint in the team got dropped we always had someone else stepping in to take up the role.

And we were confident Paul and Tommy would dominate the KoM too (1st and 3rd between them in FTS, FAL/finishing position).

Was a class team effort last night

Video of tonights Splitters race - it's one to enjoy! Probably worth skipping to the sprints and the finish as nothing much happens in between them.

Great sprinting from Carl, Bram, Michael and Tim (including a great long attack on the 5th sprint which I kind of missed in real time as I was busy fiddling with my phone trying to get Discord back!)

Tommy and I were focusing mostly on Libby Hill at the finish and it couldn't have gone much better there either - although looking back it was even closer at the finish line than I remember 😬

Thanks Andy.

Yeah the pace was REALLY slow in between each sprint hence the C cat power ^_^.

Massive difference for this one in average power - 246w, and the normalised power - 332w which is more like 4.2w/kg

Nice little tussle between you and Joffey on Libby Hill at the end there:okay:

i dont think so, 5 laps and then onto Libby hill 20 miles

Yeah, the Richmond After Party is a fixed distance course; you can't do longer or shorter versions of it. However it is very easy to get lost with how many laps you've done with the chaos of the sprints and the recovery re-grouping - at least twice there were questions in our group as to whether this was the last lap or not (once it wasn't, once it was!)

We've got three videos from last night, each taken from different perspectives and you probably need to do a supercut of all three to show our sprints, because if you didn't go for one, you had no idea what was actually going on up front. All you could see was a shower of powerup icons, which completely obscured the riders up ahead.

Andy's vid above shows how great the early attack by Peter on the first pass set up Andy and Jeff for high placings (plus a great use of a burrito to stop chasers) which I had no idea about how well it had gone until after the race! The only sprint I captured on my video was the one I went for on the penultimate lap as I was virtually on my last legs going in to it. And then John (who was using Fan View) captured Peter's attempt at the Broad Street sprint and all of our Libby Hill finishes.

I had a blinding flash of the obvious last night. When Zwifting I can't see full detail on the screen because of age-related eye focus issues. So I sometimes put on a pair of +1 reading glasses. But it's not nice riding with those on with sweat drops etc.
I also wear contact lenses -5.5 and -5. So. Doooooh. I realised last night if I can get some -4.5 and -4 contact lenses "just for Zwifting" that will be perfect. Wouldn't be safe to drive, but they'd only be for Zwifting, and maybe close computer work etc.
Can't believe it took me so long to think of that.

Further to this. These arrived today so had to try them out with a quick trip up the Innsbruck mountain.
Absolutely brilliant. Couldn't be happier with the outcome. Now I can read all the text and small icons on both big and small screens without the need for glasses ^_^

Hi Everyone. I am Graeme, Richard's youngest brother. It is with great sadness that I have to inform you Richard passed away early hours on Friday 25th March. After many tests Richard was diagnosed with a very aggressive and fast acting lung cancer. The cancer has rapidly spread to his liver, spine, shoulder and we believe his brain. And to top it off he also had covid. Richard was laid to rest a couple weeks back.

Richard, me and Gareth our other brother were ment to be doing ToC this year. However, we have deferred our entries to next year and will be attempting the 100 miles in Richard's memory.

We as a family thank you all for the support you showed Richard in his early days in Hospital.

Kind regards

Graeme and the rest of the Thorndale family.

F*ck .. I was only thinking of TB the other day and wondering how his riding was going. B*llox, that's really hard. Been 'riding' with him since 2015 and heartbreaking

I missed that post - thanks for the update Micheal
