Not that it probably affects many here, but you can only access it if you are Level 10.

Really? That seems a bit odd.
An incentive to get the miles in? Very much like unlockables in other "games" - wonder if that will become the way future course releases go.

If the route is used for an event, and you're not level 10, you can still enter & ride it.

If anyone's after a decent pair of good value shoes these are 50 quid:

I've just ordered a second pair after trying them this morning on the commute. They have a much stiffer sole than any shoe I've had that isn't carbon. They also have the 2016 model for £35 but I'm not sure they're as good.

I hit level 25 months ago. If they're going to start such incentives based on your level they should perhaps add level 26 and upwards first?

I've heard if you put in 50 hours a week you get to level 50, a new aero suit, and divorce papers from your wife!

yes, I understand that. It allows for less gear changing effectively, so a 6% incline is more like a 3% incline, and hence less up and down gear changing. I wonder though if the simulator has reset to 100% but for some reason the message hasn't got to the trainer. I then push on the turbo at what it thinks is 3%, but the sim reads this as 6% - the speed I do on the turbo is therefore twice what it should be, and hence the sim thinks I'm pushing more watts.

Now I'm not saying that this is the normal overreading by the Pro, but a bug/feature of changing the realism but not resetting everything. The only change made last night was this setting, and the effect was obvious, so I'm sure this is what happened. When I get my ant+ Thursday I'll try to test this again.

I was still pushing hard last night, and actively trying to hold form and push the power through the whole revolution. Quads were burning and I had a good workout, so the power wasn't free. I worked for it, but I'm pretty sure there is a bug that exagerated it even more than usual. I've NEVER seen this bug on the BSIM, and only seen it once before on Zwift, hence why I think it's linked to a change in the menu but not closing down Zwift and I think also turning off the turbo to fully reset the change.
Whilst that may well have been the cause for you on that occasion Carl, it's not the "only" reason this happens. Happened to me at the start of a race the other day, but I'd been riding in a group ride in Zwift for a good half hour immediately before and everything was fine. I didn't change the difficulty setting or anything in between exiting the group ride and joining the race. It was quickly solved for me by a quick switch off and on again of the plug for the trainer though.

I have experienced similar from time to time in Bsim, but very weirdly it would sometimes happen every time I rode a particular route - in fact I remember one route on a chaingang league some time ago where several of us went up several fitness levels as we all got a boost on that route. Very odd!

This is the conclusion I come to as well. Sort of inconclusive as it is, it makes the most sense to me. It's a bit of a double whammy. You know bkool pro gives generous watts but it also seems inconsistent.

One positive by the sounds of it is that people use the pro with a power meter and it gives much more realistic, and probably more importantly consistent readings.
