Anyone who follows me on Strava will see my morning activity today... I thought I'd share some of the pics with the rest of you as it was such a great walk.

Early start for The Spartak family, left Bristol at 04:30 for the drive into the Brecon Beacons.

Climbed Corn Du & Pen Y Fan to see a fantastic sunrise 🌅....
Extra kudos to my daughters aged 8 & 12 who kept going well on the steeper sections.

I discovered earlier that due to a recent update my zwift and Strava had what Gwyneth Paltrow might of called “Consciously uncoupled”, which might explain why until now the latest instalment of our many (painful) battles, wasn’t showing on my feed.

The good news is that against all the odds, I've managed to trick my completely technically inept brain into getting it to work again!

The bad news is that due the statute of zwift / strava limitations, I still won’t be able to acknowledge who won…

But if we resume battle again this week, I’m very hopeful that I might be able to officially congratulate you if you win. I might even sound like I mean it! 😁👍

Does anyone else fancy it? I think this week I’m going to try and race tomorrow and Thursday if the boss allows it.

Gah! I did an EVO Sprint Race this afternoon on Sea to Tree, basically 9 minutes nearly flat out. There were 13 As in the pen, and I came 5th on the road, which I thought was a pretty decent result. Now ZwiftPower is showing the results, and I’m second out of 2 As, which suddenly doesn’t look so good! It’s so infuriating that the results are never the same (except ZRL, obviously).

I did beat all the Bs, including Marko from CryoGen who was regularly at the sharp end of the ZRL races last season.

You should try 40 minute races sometimes legs, they’re 4 times the fun! The same math doesn’t apply to 80 minute races in fact the opposite is true…

40 min races are fun if you’re at the pointy end or in the middle, but not so much fun if you’re clinging on for dear life at the tail end of the As for 10 mins, then time trialling for half an hour.

I rather like the races where all cats start together - I think all the 3R races are set up like that - so that you don’t end up with lots of people on their own. If I wanted to do that, I’d do a time trial!

I just had a look and there’s a few races but not many runners. Play it by ear tomorrow?
