Let’s hope this is a zipperty doo dar day 😁😁
What’s the betting on lanky pi££img on my bonfire 😁

Slim to none! I could litter this post with a stream of excuses but the short version is I’m not really feeling it. I’ll be happy enough if I just tick away at a steady pace up the hill. Bit long isn’t it!

Well done @berty bassett on the win and @<Tommy> and @bridgy for keeping him honest.

I had @Legs ahead on GC and @Whorty behind so stuck to Tim like a limpet. Carl was dropped quite early on; I wonder was there a technical as you kept the gap the whole way up though even with me and Tim getting moments of draft so well done. That was a 20 min power PB for me (well equal best ever) and I was getting draft as I say so you must have been in the red

I cottoned on near the end that I was going to have to attack which was torture as I knew I'd never get properly away. Had a crack at the legsnapper (which I'd forgotten about till the cobbles) but no joy. Slowly right down with less than a K to go and just about broke the elastic but was never going to eat up more than a couple of seconds.

Delighted with that. 20min power and 5 min power right up there and had a couple of digs left at the end.

Looked like a right old battle just behind as well.

I think the times will be a second or so out for some people again

I rode for pride. Two drop outs before I started needing a restart of Zwift and then 2 micro drop outs meant I couldn’t stay with Carl and Al. Reality is didn’t have the legs to stay with them today- watts tell the sad tale 😁
Well done all on a tough old climb. Especially the goat👍

I’m not saying I ever thought I was coming back... But when I got within 500 metre I allowed myself to think ‘maybe’. And then I recognised the road leading up to the legsapper… and at that point I knew the game was up 😄. Well done Lee 👍👍. Good race mate.

And I could see lots of people putting in shifts down the road too. Bridgy keeping me honest. Looked like an absolute blood bath between legs and Michael! I could see Carl putting in a proper shift to put bob to the sword!

I must admit when I got over the legsapper I realised you two would have to race eachother up it. It did make me smile 😁.

@berty bassett :notworthy:

@<Tommy> - valiant effort to chase him :bravo:

Everyone else- how'd it go?!
I really enjoyed that. I had a few targets, to stay above 260W on the climb, just a little shy but pleased. See if I could muster a decent pace on the flat before the "Leg Sapper" I was spinning away nudging 300W, fell short of 300W up the LS but regained my legs after and powered home.

Zwift rewarded me with a 2 Watt FTP increase :biggrin:
